How Do These Programs Work?

30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method

In this section, we will do a quick walkthrough on each program to see how their program works, their teaching process, and more.

30 Day Singer

Let’s start with 30 Day Singer. 30 Day Singer is probably the most popular online singing platform currently available.

30 Day Singer is a sister to the guitar heavyweights Guitar Tricks who have been around for over 20 years now. When it comes to online lessons, these guys know a thing or two.

The goal with 30 Day Singer is in the name; to become a better singer in 30 days. By the end of your 30 days, you improved your vocal range, performance and will have grown considerably in confidence.

30DS is extremely easy to use. When you sign up for a 14 Day Free Trial (Sign Up Here), you will come to your main dashboard.

From here you will be able to navigate around the program easily. See below.

30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method

If you are just starting, you will want to click on beginner courses. From here you will choose your instructor.

I love how they give you the option to choose your instructor. It gives you a little more control and the opportunity to choose an instructor whose teaching style might be more appealing and easier to follow than others. This is all down to personal choice.

A lot of people like to work with the same gender when learning to sing. They sometimes find it easier to match what their instructor is teaching them. Again this is all about preference.

I did a full 30 Day Singer Review that you can check out where I do an in-depth review of the program and what to expect.

30 Day Singer is so easy to follow. You follow a daily process for the next 30 days for 10-20 minutes a day to become a better singer. It

Here’s a sample of some lessons below.

Each day that passes you are improving your voice with easy to follow lessons right up to Day30. However, that’s not all.

It’s not all about your vocals. They also offer some lessons here on how to deal with nerves, grow as an artist, and also perform in front of people.

Once you complete the 30 days, you will notice a big improvement in your voice and overall vocal performance; but now is when we improve it that much better.

Section 2: Advanced Singing Lessons

30 Day Singer is not just for beginners. Once you complete your 30 days of lessons, you then move into advanced lessons and singing techniques.

This is where this course shines compared to the likes of the Superior Singing Method in my opinion by offering more than standard vocal lessons.

Not only that but you will also learn to sing specific genres like county, R&B, A Capella, and also learn to sing like your favorite global stars such as Rihanna, Adele, Freddie Mercury, and Amy Winehouse.

Section 3: Singing Tricks & Techniques

Superior Singing Method or 30 Day Singer

Section 3 is the best part of 30 Day Singer and where you will spend a lot of your time once you complete the first 2 sections.

Section 3 is all about singing tricks and techniques. In this section, you get in-depth lessons to perfect skills such as Pitch & Intonation, Phrasing, Mastering Vibrato, and more.

This section offers some amazing tutorials that you will find extremely beneficial and will help take your voice to the next level.

Section 4: Warm Ups & Vocal Health

Vocal warm-ups and vocal health are so overlooked and neglected, even though they have a dramatic effect on the performance of your voice both in the short and long term.

In this section, they teach you beginner and advanced warm-up techniques, how to warm up before a performance, tips to avoid damaging your vocals, and also removing vocal strain.

The most important lesson they offer here in my opinion is the daily vocal practice routine by Camille.

Following her daily vocal routine keeps your voice in check every day and ready for any performance.

Superior Singing Method

Now let’s look at Superior Singing Method and how it works. SSM was created by Aaron Anastasi, a professional vocal trainer who has worked with some world-class stars.

Superior Singing Method is an 8 module course that covers the following topics:

  • Vocal Control
  • Perfect Pitch
  • Quality Tone
  • Vocal Power
  • Vocal Agility
  • Mix Voice
  • Vocal Range & Advanced Techniques

The 8 modules are split into over 50 vocal lesson videos along with some vocal audio to challenge you to reach peak performance for several aspects of your voice including vocal range, tone, voice agility, pitch, and more.

Aaron also created an excellent daily vocal routine to keep your voice in check and at peak performance.

The Superior Singing Method is extremely easy to follow. You follow each module 1 through 8 with each module flowing into the next.

With each module, your vocal skills should grow and you will notice some improvements. Once you reach model 8 you are moving into more advanced level techniques.

30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method

Ok now let’s look at some of the major differences between the 30 Day Singer and Superior Singing Method.

30 Day Singers Offers Better Content

I like the 30 Day plan you follow when you are just starting with this content. All you need is 10-20 minutes a day to see some real improvement.

What I love about the 30 Day Singer is how they offer you so much more than just your standard singing lessons.

With 30 Day Singer, you get to learn techniques for singing specific music styles and genres, for example, country and R&B.

A unique twist that you don’t see on other courses is how they show you exactly how to sing like global singers like Adele, Rihanna, David Bowie, and more.

It’s not all about your singing either. 30 Day Singer offers you excellent content on how to battle nerves, prepare for a performance, and also the tips on performing in general.

This type of content makes all the difference, as many people could be fantastic singers; but nervousness is their downfall.

Live One To One Online Lessons

30DS go the extra mile for all their users. If you feel you need some help, they also offer a live one to one lesson with a real instructor online.

Now I would love to tell you this is free but it’s not. These lessons can be 30 minutes or 60 minutes long, costing you $45 and $85 respectively.

To be honest, I don’t think you will need to use these; but if you have a big performance coming up or there’s something you are struggling a little, this service could be useful.

It’s nice to have the option if you ever need it though. It’s a nice unique feature of 30 Day Singer compared to the Superior Singing Method. With the SSM, you buy it and you’re on your own.

30 Day Singer Is Not Just For Beginners

When comparing the 30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method, one of the standout differences is the amount of content for more advanced level singing techniques you get with the 30DS.

Sections 3 & 4 reveal some amazing tricks and techniques to make you a better singer, taking you from beginner to intermediate, right up to an advanced level.

Whereas I found that SSM is good for beginners but once you complete the course, I feel that’s it. If you wanted to get to the next level, you would be required to get one to one lessons.

30 Day Singer continues to add more training videos to their program, so you will never have to worry about running out of lessons to keep improving.

You Get To Choose Your Instructor

This isn’t a huge one but it does help. I like how 30 Day Singer put you in a little bit more control and allow you to choose your instructor.

You are likely more drawn to one over the other or prefer a particular teaching style. If you do not like Aaron from SSM, you have no choice to stick it out. 30DS give you a choice.

You are also getting 3 times the content. It’s common for users to use all 3 instructors. There’s something unique to each of them that will stick with you.

Superior Singing Method Is Dated

The SSM has been around for a long time now, which is a way is a good thing as it works; but its become quite dated now and badly needs a revamp.

30 Day Singer has a brilliant user-friendly site that you can use on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The content is fresh, modern and regularly updated and new content being added. This is one of the reasons why 30DS is my number 1 singing recommendation now instead of SSM.

30 Day Singer Forum & Community

When you join 30DS you become part of a community. They have a very good and active forum which is great when you have a question or you’re looking for some advice.

Don’t be shy to introduce yourself and get involved in some discussions. You will find some threads are extremely helpful and informative.

Pricing: 30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method

A major difference between 30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method is the pricing structure.

SSM works as a one single payment of $97 whereas 30DS works as a subscription service that can be paid monthly or annually.

30 Day Singer will cost you $29.95 per month or $129 billed annually. The annual offer is an excellent price when you break it down monthly, only costing you $10.75 per month with free bonus content.

Luckily, the guys over at 30DS have given us a 14 Day Free Trial to our readers to try out their program first before you ever commit to paying a dime.

Which Would I Choose?

If you have gotten this far in the post, I’m sure you can guess which one I think is between the 30 Day Singer vs Superior Singing Method.

30 Day Singer is the better program to choose from in my opinion. The course is easy to follow, effective in 30 Days, and also moves you from a beginner to a far more advanced level singer.

The video content is unique and offers so much more than just your standard vocal lessons. You get to learn more about singing techniques for specific genres, global superstars, and tips on performing live and battling nerves.

The active forum makes you feel part of a community where you can communicate with others, find some extra tips, guidance, and motivation from others in your position, and also more experienced singing.

If you still feel you need more help, a live one to one lesson could be the answer. A great help if you are struggling with anything or need some prep for a big performance.
